Whole30 – Day 14: Loving Paleo!

Two weeks down and I’m feeling pretty damn good. I’ve eaten out a few times now and am used to dissecting the menu and asking waitstaff to modify a meal so that it is paleo friendly, and I really don’t feel like I’m missing out because  the paleo food is soo delicious and I’m feeling the best I have in – well years.

So energy levels are up, cravings are down (almost non-existent), I’m satiated between meals and not constantly wanting to raid the cupboards… So emotionally/psychologically I’m experiencing some big improvements.

What about physically then?  Well, my skin is clearer, psoriasis has improved, jeans are a little looser – all big wins.

And the main thing is I don’t feel deprived or hungry or like this is all too hard.

Ok, avoiding alcohol when out on the weekend was hard, but I do plan on drinking again, so having a break is not going to kill me.

Today I ate more yummy food – although ate it all too quickly and alas have no photographic evidence:

  • Meal 1 – scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and parsley & fried mushroom with spinach. 2x black coffees
  • Meal 2 – roast chicken salad with creamy dressing
  • Snack – handful of mixed nuts
  • Meal 3 – slow-cooked Rogan Josh lamb with cauliflower and pumpkin mash
